How it works

Mailshake describes itself as an AI-powered sales engagement and B2B lead platform. In practice it is a tool for sending email sequences from your own mailbox: a first message, then automated follow-ups to anyone who has not replied. Its home page lists mail merge, split testing, an AI email writer, a feature called Lead Catcher for sorting engaged prospects, warm-up and a dialer.

The company says sales teams at more than 100,000 companies trust it. That is its own figure.

Mailshake’s home page does not mention link building or PR. It has no publisher metrics, link monitoring or record of which sites have linked. Its place in a link campaign is narrow: you arrive with a vetted list and contact details, and it sends the pitch and the follow-ups.

For that job the feature set is adequate. Mail merge fields let you name the page and the reason for writing, which our lesson on link outreach emails treats as the minimum for a reply. Split testing lets you compare two subject lines. Every plan includes email verification, which protects your sender reputation, as covered in finding contacts and verifying emails.

The Data Finder allowance on the two cheaper plans is 50 credits, so plan on finding contacts elsewhere, for example with Hunter.io. To see where a sender fits beside research and monitoring tools, read our guide to the link building tool stack.

Pricing

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing, per month Email addresses Sends
Starter $29 $25 1 1,500 a month
Email Outreach $49 $45 2 Unlimited
Sales Engagement $99 $85 10 Unlimited
Agency Custom Custom Unlimited Unlimited

Prices are as shown on Mailshake’s pricing page on 4 October 2026. Every plan lists unlimited uploaded contacts, warm-up, campaigns and verification. Email Outreach adds email rotation, a unified inbox, Zapier and CRM integrations. Sales Engagement adds phone numbers, a power dialer and one-to-one onboarding, which link builders are unlikely to need.

Add-ons are Data Finder at $19 a month and ready-to-use mailboxes at $12 a month. There is no free trial: the page says payment is collected up front. We did not find a money-back guarantee on the pages we read.

What public reviews say

Mailshake holds a Trustpilot score of 4.8 from 99 reviews, checked in October 2026, with 54 written in the last 12 months. Eighty-nine percent give five stars. It is a small sample, and Trustpilot notes that the company has not invited customers recently, so the reviews may not be representative. Reviewers praise ease of use and support. Minor complaints are a learning curve at the start and no direct file attachments.
