This review is based on Sitechecker’s public pages and third-party ratings, checked on 4 October 2026. The rating out of 10 is the editor’s own judgement. The focus is on link building and off-page features, not the full suite.

Sitechecker is a platform for site audits, site monitoring, rank tracking and AI visibility tracking. Its backlink tool is a tracker, not an index. The vendor describes it as a place to collect all your inbound links and monitor them.

You fill it by importing links from Google Search Console, Ahrefs or similar tools, or by adding them by hand. Sitechecker then checks the list every week. Its page describes these checks:

  • whether the page that holds your link is still live
  • whether that page is in Google’s index
  • whether the link is nofollow
  • which anchor text is used, shown as an anchor cloud

You get a notification when a linking page is deleted or becomes non-indexable.

This is the set of checks that matters after you pay for a placement. A link on a page Google has dropped is worth little, and most research tools do not test for that. Our guide on how to track backlinks lists the same checks, and auditing vendor deliveries covers what to do when one fails.

The tool also reports which landing pages hold the most backlinks and how the profile has grown over time. The anchor cloud gives a quick view of your anchor mix. See anchor text planning for what a healthy mix looks like.

What the pages do not say

Sitechecker does not crawl the web for links. It cannot show you a competitor’s backlinks unless you import them from another tool. For research you still need an index such as Ahrefs or SE Ranking.

The plans page lists websites, keywords and AI prompts for each plan. It does not show how many backlinks you can track. Ask before you buy if you manage a large list.

Checks are weekly. For most placements that is enough. If a guarantee runs for a short fixed period, a week’s delay can matter.

What public reviews say

Sitechecker holds a Trustpilot score of 4.4 from 106 reviews, checked in October 2026. Of those, 78 percent are five-star and 11 percent one-star. Reviewers praise the dashboard and the support team. The negative reviews are about billing and about sales emails.
