This review is based on Woodpecker’s public pages and third-party ratings, checked on 4 October 2026. The rating out of 10 is the editor’s own judgement. The focus is on link building outreach, not general sales.

How it works

Woodpecker sends cold email sequences and, with an add-on, LinkedIn steps. Its home page describes condition-based campaigns, inbox rotation across several email accounts, a central inbox for replies, free email verification, free warm-up, deliverability monitoring and a domain audit covering SPF, DKIM and DMARC. It also lists a lead finder with a database of more than 1 billion contacts and an agency panel. The company is Woodpecker.co S.A., based in Wrocław, Poland. The site does not mention link building.

For link outreach the core is enough: sequences, follow-ups that stop when someone replies, and verification before sending. Our lesson on link outreach emails covers the pitch. Woodpecker keeps no record of sites or links, so pair it with a tracker. See how to track backlinks.

Most cold email tools sell capacity in tens of thousands of emails. Woodpecker sells by contacted prospects. A link builder who emails 300 well-chosen editors a month pays for 300, with unlimited team members and email accounts included. That matches how careful link prospecting works.

Two rules need attention. The pricing page says a prospect in several campaigns counts separately each time. It also says campaigns stop sending to new prospects when you reach the limit, and plans do not upgrade automatically.
