This review is based on Morningscore’s public pages and third-party ratings, checked on 4 October 2026. The rating out of 10 is the editor’s own judgement. The focus is on link building and off-page features, not the full suite.

Morningscore is an SEO tool built for people who are not full-time SEOs. It turns tasks into “missions” and scores progress, and its link tool follows the same idea.

The link overview lists the sites that link to you, with anchor text, the date each link was found and a value for the linking domain. The same view works for competitors, and the tool builds a list of sites to contact from the links your competitors have. That is a basic form of link gap analysis.

Two reports cover change over time. New links shows the backlinks gained in a period you choose, and the vendor says it is updated daily. Lost links shows the ones that have disappeared, so you can contact the site and ask for the link back. See link reclamation for how that works.

The link scanner is the feature most useful to anyone who buys or builds links. You enter the URL of a link you have just built and the tool finds it and adds it to tracking. Most index-based tools make you wait until their crawler finds the page.

Linkscore is Morningscore’s own metric. It compares the value of a domain’s links with those of its competitors. Like every authority score, it is the vendor’s estimate and not a Google figure.

Data source

Morningscore says its link data comes from Moz. It does not publish an index size of its own. Moz’s index is one of the long-established ones, and our Moz review covers it. Each index sees a different part of the web, as our lesson on why backlink tools disagree explains. Sellers tend to quote DR or DA, so check which metric a seller means before you compare. See domain authority and domain rating.

The pricing page lists monthly link scans by plan: 10 on Lite, 100 on Business and unlimited on Pro and Premium. If you place more than a few links a month, Lite will be tight.

The page does not describe a check for nofollow changes or for whether the linking page is indexed. For paid placements, compare that with the checks in our guide on how to track backlinks.

The trial lasts 14 days and needs no credit card. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and are not binding beyond the current month. Yearly plans are binding for 12 months. The page does not state a money-back guarantee.

What public reviews say

Morningscore holds a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 61 reviews, checked in October 2026. Reviewers praise the interface and the support. Only 5 of those reviews were posted in the past 12 months, so the score mostly reflects older feedback. Trustpilot shows that the company replies to its negative reviews.
