How it works

eReleases is a US press release service aimed at small businesses. Trustpilot lists it in Baltimore, Maryland. It resells national distribution over Cision PR Newswire, so a single release goes out on the same wire that large companies use, without the buyer holding a newswire account.

You choose a package, submit a release or pay eReleases to write one, and its editors review it before sending. Each package includes one or more industry target lists, a report it calls WireWatch, and distribution described as reaching PR Newswire, AP, Google News, Bing News and Yahoo News. The top package adds a direct email send to journalists through a Cision influencer list.

This is the wire part of digital PR. It gets an announcement in front of newsrooms. Coverage still depends on whether the news is worth a story.

Pricing

The pricing page showed three packages on 4 October 2026, in US dollars per release:

Package Regular price New customer price Words Industry lists
Buzz Builder $399 $279.30 400 1
Newsmaker $499 $349.30 500 2
PR Pro $699 $489.30 600 3

Each includes two images. The add-ons are where the cost grows:

  • Writing: $300
  • Extra words: $150 per block of 100
  • Extra industry target list: $150
  • Local saturation: $150
  • Image embedding: $150
  • YouTube video: $200
  • International distribution: $150 a country, or $1,000 for global

A 700-word release on the cheapest package would cost $399 plus $450 for the extra words at regular prices. Write to the word limit or choose the package that fits. Bulk pricing is offered when you buy two or more releases together.

The page states a satisfaction guarantee on content. We did not read its conditions.

Do not buy a wire release for backlinks. Whichever wire you use, the copies of a release that appear on partner sites are syndicated duplicates. Our lesson on press releases for links explains why the working rule is to count those copies as zero links, and our page on syndicated links covers how search engines treat them.

What you pay for is PR Newswire’s reach. Buying directly from PR Newswire needs a quote, while eReleases publishes its price.

What public reviews say

eReleases had a Trustpilot score of 4.6 from 79 reviews when we checked in October 2026. Ninety percent were five-star and 4 percent were one-star. Reviewers praise the simple process and the support team. Seventy-nine reviews is a modest count, so read the score as a positive sign and not as proof.
