Writesonic review

This review is based on Writesonic’s public pages and third-party ratings, checked on 4 October 2026. The rating out of 10 is the editor’s own judgement. It covers the GEO and AI visibility product, not Writesonic’s older writing tools.

What it tracks

Writesonic began as an AI writing tool and now presents itself as a platform for AI search. Its visibility product runs prompts against AI platforms and reports an AI visibility score (the share of answers that feature your brand), citation share, sentiment and a 7-day trend. The site says it monitors 10 AI platforms.

Writesonic also claims a dataset of more than 2 billion AI conversations across more than 50 markets. That is a vendor figure and we could not check how it is built.

Its home page states that 85 percent of citations come from sites the brand does not own. That is Writesonic’s own number, but it points the same way as our lesson on how AI search chooses sources: most of what the models cite is third-party content, which makes AI visibility largely an off-page problem.

Action Center

Beyond tracking, Writesonic lists content optimisation, technical audits and citation gap identification with outreach. The Action Center groups these into on-page and off-page actions. The off-page actions are prompts to get your brand onto the pages the models already cite, which is the work described in link building for AI visibility.

Access is limited by plan. Growth includes a trial of five off-page and five on-page actions a month. The full Action Center is on Enterprise.

Prices are as shown on Writesonic’s pricing page on 4 October 2026, for annual billing. The page says annual billing saves 20 percent, but the monthly billing prices were not shown in the version we read.

Starter, Basic and Growth track three platforms: ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Perplexity, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI and Google AI Mode are listed for Enterprise only. Sentiment analysis starts at Growth. Each plan also includes site audits and a limited number of trial runs of what Writesonic calls agentic workflows.

The page offers a free start with no credit card and a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund. You can cancel at any time.

What public reviews say

Writesonic holds a Trustpilot score of 4.6 from 5,764 reviews, checked in October 2026, with 87 percent five-star. Many of those reviews will date from its years as a writing tool, so they say more about the company than about the AI visibility product.
