This review is based on Synup’s public pages and third-party ratings, checked on 4 October 2026. The rating out of 10 is the editor’s own judgement. The focus is on listings and citations, not the full marketing platform.
How it works
Synup is a listings sync platform. You enter a location’s details once, and it pushes them to Google Business Profile, Apple Business Connect, Bing and, in Synup’s words, more than 100 further directories and data aggregators. The same dashboard monitors and answers reviews, schedules social posts, tracks local rankings and builds store locator pages.
The newer part is Sydekick, an AI agent. Synup says it can fix and sync listings, respond to reviews, publish posts and track rankings, and that it asks for approval before sensitive actions. Plans include a monthly allowance of credits for it.
For agencies, the site describes white label client portals, a multi-client view, team access controls and APIs. It says it serves more than 5,000 partners.
Sync or build
There are two ways to get local citations. A sync platform like Synup keeps listings consistent for as long as you pay. A manual service such as BrightLocal or Whitespark builds each listing once and hands you the login. Sync suits businesses whose details change often or that have many locations. A single shop with a fixed address usually spends less on a one-off build. Synup’s pages do not say what happens to synced listings when a subscription ends, so ask before you sign.

What public reviews say
Synup’s Trustpilot profile shows 3.1 from 13 reviews, checked in October 2026. Trustpilot shows 61 percent as one-star and 31 percent as five-star, with only two reviews in the last 12 months. That is too small a sample to carry much weight either way.
