Fiverr review

This review is based on public information about Fiverr and third-party ratings, checked on 4 October 2026. The rating out of 10 is the editor’s own judgement.

This review looks at Fiverr only as a place to buy link building. Fiverr’s own pages returned an error to our reader on 4 October 2026, including the link building category, the payment terms and the affiliate page. Where we could not read a fact, we say so and leave it out.

How it works

Fiverr is a freelance marketplace. Independent sellers list fixed-scope services, called gigs, and buyers order them through the platform. Fiverr does not build links itself. For link building this means there is no single product to review: the seller decides the method, the sites, the price and what counts as delivered.

The gigs fall into three broad groups. Some sellers do manual outreach and sell paid guest posts or niche edits on sites they have access to. Some sell low-risk tasks such as local citations. And some sell bundles of profile, comment, forum and blog network links, which are automated links.

Pricing

Each seller sets a price per gig, often with tiers. We could not open Fiverr’s link building category or its payment terms, so we do not state a starting price or the buyer service fee. Check the total at checkout.

Quality

Quality on Fiverr is a property of the seller, not the platform. Before ordering:

• Ask for sample sites and check them with our guide on how to vet a publisher.
• Ask who chooses the sites and whether you can approve them first.
• Read the seller’s negative reviews, not only the average score.
• Watch for the patterns in our guide to link seller scams, such as faked metrics and recycled site lists.

The risk rating of R4 on this page reflects the mix. A carefully chosen outreach gig sits at R3, the same as any paid placement. Bulk bundles sit at R4 to R5, and our automated links page names Fiverr among the places where they are sold.

What public reviews say

Fiverr had a Trustpilot score of 3.1 from 15,617 reviews when we checked in October 2026. Forty-nine percent were five-star reviews and 36 percent were one-star. Complaints centre on customer support, payment and account problems. The rating covers every kind of work sold on Fiverr, so it tells you about the platform, not about link sellers.
